Pastor Fergus & Jo Buchan
Pastor Fergus Buchan, born in Rhodesia was a successful PGA golf professional for over 40 years. During this time in his professional golfing career he and his wife Joanne lost their beloved 4 year old son Alistair in a tragic accident. Broken in grief they turned to the Lord Jesus Christ for the first time, before eventually moved to Germany where Pastor Fergus was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and given a few short years to live. He called out to the Lord Jesus Christ and was miraculously and completely healed. He then left his golfing career behind to become a full-time missionary travelling throughout Africa, from cities to the remotest areas of the African bush, preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and healing the sick according to Mark 16: 15-18.
In 2016 the Lord called Pastor Fergus and Joanne out of Africa to London ,England where they established MMI London, with the mandate to preach the gospel, make disciples, and heal the sick. Every Saturday teams go out into the streets of London to minister to the homeless, the addicts and those society has left behind, sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and leading them to salvation.
Pastor Fergus continues to travel abroad for missions in Africa while raising up new teams there who go out into the slums to reach the unloved and forgotten. A servant heart and a purity before the Lord Jesus Christ and His great commission is the heart of Messiah Ministries International and Pastor Fergus and Joanne Buchan.
